The Life House
The Life House is a community building, with lots going on for everyone to get involved in.
Our partners deliver alternative therapies, beauty treatments, exercise classes, and slimming classes.
Alongside Café Life which provides super tasty food.
Washington Mind’s Group Work is also held within The Life House – Click here to view.
The Life House building currently holds:
Slimming World
The freedom to enjoy healthy takes on the food you love – like curry and rice, burgers, pasta dishes and still lose weight. The freedom to make your own choices – to eat in or to eat out, and to take control. The freedom to get more active in a way that suits your lifestyle. And best of all – freedom from the habits and pitfalls that used to hold you back. We’ll help you to understand yourself as a slimmer, giving you the know – how and the power to develop healthy new habits for life. All this in a community of new friends who’ll motivate and inspire you all the way to your dream weight.
Iyengar Yoga
Iyengar yoga is for anyone and everyone. It’s the world’s most widely practised method of yoga. Iyengar yoga teachers are well qualified and experienced in helping each student to find their own level in each pose. Props are useful here to make each pose accessible to all.
Because Iyengar yoga focuses on postural alignment, you may discover that it is particular good for postural and structural problems. And the fact that you have to give all of your attention to the precise details of each pose requires effort and concentration which can relieve stress and anxiety. Iyengar yoga is all about quality of movement rather than quantity, to encourage safety throughout your practice.
Suitable for all levels of ability. £5 per session. Please contact yoginortheast@gmail.com
