Fundraising for Washington Mind and help to fundraise

As a local independent charity Washington Mind rely on funding and donations to continue reducing mental health stigma, improving wellbeing and promoting mental health recovery.

We’re incredibly grateful to all individuals and companies who choose to fundraise on our behalf – Thank you! But we also know there are still lots of people, organisations or groups out there who would love to get involved with fundraising for Washington Mind. Just get in touch and we’ll arrange to drop off a box.

Ways to fundraise could include; displaying a charity tin or bucket in your building, organising a charity fundraising event, a sponsored walk, nominating us as your charity for the year, or sign up to a national campaign (e.g. World Mental Health Day, World Suicide Prevention Day, Mental Health Awareness Week). How your fundraising money can support Washington Mind

Every £5 raised can...

Just £5 will allow us to support someone in our social support sessions at The Life House.

Every £30 raised can...

£30 can enable us to work with young people to deliver creative expression work, to help raise self-esteem and reduce risk-taking behaviours.

Every £50 raised can...

£50 can enable us to deliver a 1-hour private counselling session, in a warm, safe and welcoming environment an assurance that your counsellor is highly qualified, BACP registered and appropriately supervised to provide quality, therapeutic support.

Every £100 raised can...

£100 will contribute toward the setup of addition Ray’s Corner safe spaces across our communities, where people can access support and information for themselves or for someone they know, using Ray’s name to encourage suicide prevention.

Every £500 raised can...

£500 can equip 16 members of our community with suicide prevention training.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

Whilst there is no payment taken at the time of booking your fully funded space via our online booking system Washington Mind reserves the right to charge a £50.00 fee as agreed with funders for the following:

  • Cancellation of attendance within 0 - 7 days before the training session
  • None attendance on the day of the training session ( DNA)
  • None completion of all sessions that apply to delivery of the course in full.
  • An alternative delegate may be substituted by an organisation without charge for the whole course. Delegates can NOT be substituted partway through the training course.
  • The delegate is aware that Washington Mind’s mental health training programme covers emotive subjects such as suicide, self-harm, death and dying.
  • By submitting the booking form, the delegate agrees to the dates, times and the subsequent charge referenced
  • The delegate must be able to attend the training session in FULL
  • Washington Mind reserve the right to cancel a training session for operational reasons at any time
  • Please contact Washington Mind if you wish to discuss or clarify anything further before making a booking

Data is stored on our secured servers; these systems are only accessible to Washington Mind and authorised third party support personnel. If we retain a hardcopy of your information, it will be kept in a secure place

By opting in to be contacted by email and telephone, you are consenting to Washington Mind contacting you in regards to cancellation of training, feedback on our training or to let you know about any other training opportunities that you may be interested in.
