Seed bombs, or BeeBombs, are compact balls full of wildflower seeds which recreate habitats ad encourage wildlife into the area, increasing biodiversity.
Bees and other pollinators are particularly attracted to wildflower areas which is great as we rely on them for 80% of our food sources. We have chosen the BeeBomb planting location so that pollinators can help to pollinate our allotments and help our growing fruit and veg to thrive, which can then be used to make tasty homemade food in our Café Life.
Spending time in nature and looking after our natural spaces can also help improve and manage our own mental health and wellbeing.
Come join us for a morning of BeeBomb planting! Our gardening group are prepping the ground for our wild flower plot and on the 14th March, we will be planting the BeeBombs!
If you would like to join us for a morning of looking after our planet, and our own wellbeing, give us a call on: 01914178043 or send us an email to: info@washingtonmind.org.uk.
