This training is a community approach that aims to  develop a shared understanding of grief  that allows us as a community to support each other . Where as a community we can provide support and comfort through our increased understanding, where people do not feel judged or viewed as ‘stuck’ or ‘ill’ but feel supported by a community that understands the importance of continuing bonds with those we grieve for.

This is indeed a difficult time and although the training may be timely – we are aware that it is also highly emotive therefore we ask that you do not attend this training if you are recently bereaved.

Increase understanding of grief and its impact upon us.
Increase Understanding of the function of grief (death as meaningful/ relationship with death) the legacy of our loss
Increase Understanding of continuing bonds and its link to individual and community narratives
Increased self-awareness to listen and to talk about grief (or when not to)
Increase confidence in talking about death and dying utilising a Continuing Bonds approach
